Lucie Jelínková
Postgraduate student of Zoology at the Faculty of Science, Charles University
Lucie Jelínková’s research focuses on the influence of parental characteristics on human mate
choice. Specifically, she tests the resemblance between partner and opposite-sex parent in
various characteristics (body odour, face, voice and personality). Moreover, she investigates the
role of body odour in several aspects of romantic relationships (e.g. the influence of the body
odour on sexual arousal).
She has received a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Science, Charles University (study
programme – Biology) and a Master’s degree from the Department of Zoology (specialization in
Ecology and ethology). Currently, she is a PhD student in Zoology at the Faculty of Science,
Charles University. Her supervisor is Jan Havlíček.
