Žaneta Pátková is a researcher at the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University. Her primary research interests include face perception, mainly in the context of mate choice and evaluation of potential rivals, the association between perceived facial characteristics and health, and also the effects of a rater’s own characteristics on the assessment of others. In her research, she employs methods of eye-tracking. She received her doctoral degree (Theoretical and Evolutionary Biology) at the Faculty of Science, Charles University, and her master’s (General Anthropology – Human Ethology and Social, Cultural and Linguistic Anthropology specialisations) and bachelor’s (Liberal Arts and Humanities) degrees and at the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University.
